Our Linden tree is a favorite hang out for small birds. Because they are rarely not in motion they provide excellent practice for hand-held target acquisition and quick shot response. Comments and suggestions are always appreciated.

Does the yellow colour of the beak indicate that this is a juvenile bird?

You may be correct. I quickly defer to those more expert about birds. Your comment caused me to run this past other ‘expert’ birders and the consensus was an immature but based on the ‘gape’. Gape was a new term to me and research leads me to agree. You have a good eye. Thank you.
