Looks like Trump can't afford to stand next to someone who can tell the truth at a debate. Instead he'll let a lackey ask softball questions (likely agreed to in advance) and put on an infomercial without any info.

This is the right-wings hero.
Can't tell the truth and doesn't have the balls to face his critics. Yet, his base still supports him.
They're too stupid to be believed.

I wouldn't expect Christie to take it easy on him just because he isn't there.

Trump is a coward. Don't let the false bravado fool you.

LOL ya right, even I know that's BS and I don't even like Trump. Where is your verifiable evidence that Trump is afraid to debate? You have none because you are full of ch*t as usual.

So why a no show? His bone spurs are playing up again? He's tired of living down J6? Even that fat-head traitor Barr says Mar-a-Lago Johnny is a piece of whimpering burnt toast.

Would a coward run, unarmed, into a school to take out a school shooter? Oh yeah, he didn't actually do it.

That is just one of many casual utterances from Trump about his own imagined *heroism ... and MAGA buys it every time!

*(like Helsinki Trump?)

If I were a Trump advisor, I would urge him not to debate. He is so far up in the polls, he has nothing to gain and much to lose.

Are trump's base so scared that he's likely to lose support by showing up and opening his mouth on the debate stage?

Every voter has a right to know where a candidate stands on an issue vs. their opponents, and to voice their reasons WHY that's their opinion.

By not showing up, wouldn't that show that trump's nothing more than a coward, that he's too scared to face his opponents?

To you and I it shows that. To his base, not so much.

For one, he's way up in Republican polls. He could possibly lose some support by opening his mouth. And, he would just make a circus out of the whole thing anyway. This way we may get to hear a relatively intelligent discussion of issues. I emphasize MAY. I have lost all respect for the Republican party.
