Great question about hiring a criminal, but MAGAs will point out that Trump is NOT a criminal until convicted. And my response would be to ask if they believe the American justice system is so broken and misguided that prosecutors would “trump up” 91 charges against a truly innocent upstanding citizen. From a statistical perspective alone the creep is surely guilty of at least one of the charged crimes.
Geoff Duncan for POTUS!!! Or Kinzinger, or Cheney, even Christie… anyone with the balls to tell it like it is.
Great question about hiring a criminal, but MAGAs ... (

First definition of criminal is one who has committed a crime. Second definition is one who has been convicted of a crime.
Note that Trump's company has already been convicted of criminal activity. Trump has used his company to commit fraud.
That is sufficient to label Trump a criminal, and the massive number of indictments against him just adds to that case.

Oh, believe me, I am 120% with you. I was just anticipating a MAGA defence, which really has no leg to stand on.
If Trump was vetted properly you never would have gotten
a chance to vote for him the first time.
If only the guys who constantly spout off about "law and order" would realize that they themselves must follow the laws of our nation.

Our media wanted Trump as Hillary's opponent, since he was thought to be the easiest to beat, so the vetting was minimal. They didn't expose many of his issues until after he secured the nomination.
You're a bigger buffoon than Trump.
It’s not a weapon to eliminate candidates, it’s a weapon to take criminals off the streets.

In 2016 I did not think America as a nation would be foolish enough to vote seriously for Trump as POTUS; I was blown away and proven wrong.
Now, in 2023, I do not think Americans as a nation have a justice system that is so corrupt that it "trumps up" 91 criminal charges against someone just for political reasons. You know I despise Trump as a human being, let alone as POTUS, but I truly believe he HAS committed crimes against his oath to The Constitution, and I hope he goes to jail as would any American citizen who willfully commits criminal acts.
If I am proven wrong yet again, then I will have lost ALL FAITH in America as the best nation to lead a democratic free world order.
Regarding Desantis getting charged, is that any different than Biden being threatened with impeachment (not for anything he did, but "just because" as a tit-for-tat for Trump's deserved impeachments)?
America comes across as a trigger-happy over-litigious society. If you could change those 2 attributes you would be the shining city on the hill that the world needs. And I would again be VERY HAPPY to have you as my neighbour.
Perhaps you could enumerate these charges, and explain what is garbage about each one. I realise you aren't required, but if you wish to justify your assertions you will. Without that your claims are just noise.

There are already liberal prosecutors queuing up to take some swipes at Desantis if Trump is knocked out of the election.

How can any sane person listen to the recording of Trump and Raffensperger and still think that prosecutors are "weaponized" and the charges are brought just to eliminate Trump as a candidate? Have you bothered to read any of the indictments before you make such a foolish statement? Trump is responsible for committing his crimes. Stop blaming the people trying to bring him to justice.

I read the transcript of this call when it was released by CNN, I just skimmed it again before I decided to respond to your statement. There were many ballots cast by mail in the Georgia election that did not meet the guidelines for legal ballots. The counting process should have rejected them from the start, but once they were counted and the results issued, the results had legs. Georgia decided to let them stand. The majority of these illegal ballots, according to Trump and his cronies fell on the Democratic side of the coin and were tallied in Democratic districts.
If I had been the Secretary of State of Georgia I would also have let them stand, since the alternative would be to have a State official, and a member of the republican party, flip the election in favor of his party's candidate. Pressuring the SOS of Georgia to follow the law regarding the legality of ballots however is not a crime and is certainly not a criminal conspiracy. That said, in the right courtroom, they may be able to get a conviction on those charges.
I'm of the opinion, and I'm certainly not alone, that at any given time a state or federal prosecutor can find something that places all of us in legal jeopardy. Thankfully, most of us don't give them a reason to enter their crosshairs.
At this moment in history you have politically charged prosecutors trying to take out a candidate. Whether they're doing it to improve his chances of getting the republican nomination or are truly trying to end his political career has yet to be seen. I think the latter option would be a mistake since any other republican candidate is better than Trump, and if you take away the public's option to reject him themselves, they're likely to be even more motivated to vote for his replacement. Joe Biden can not beat anyone BUT Trump. If they take Trump out of the election they're insuring a Biden defeat.

That, sir, defines the state of the nation. It is all about $ & laying blame and not just the current POTUS and Trump.
No one has the guts to say "I [we] made a mistake" or "I [we] misjudged the situation".
The Blame Game rules.
