B-2 Spirit stealth bombers assigned to Whiteman Air Force Base taxi and take-off during exercise Spirit Vigilance on Whiteman Air Force Base on November 7th, 2022. Routine exercises like Spirit Vigilance assure our allies and partners that Whiteman Air Force Base is ready to execute nuclear operations and global strike anytime, anywhere.

I like to watch the Air Disasters show on the Dish Network Smithsonian channel and remember one of these planes crashing on takeoff. I remember thinking how much money went up in smoke. I believe the crew survived. A lot of money is spent on crew training. The crash was in Feb 2008 at Anderson AFB in Guam. The problem with today's aircraft is that if anything computer related goes wrong, the pilots often are helpless. The F-117 is called the "Wobbling Goblin" because without constant computer corrections the bird is almost impossible to fly correctly.
