Problems Updating firmware on Nikon D40

I recently purchased a Nikon D40 to add to my collection. The firmware versions currently on the camera for both A & B are 1.10. I need to update both A & B to version 1.11 before I can update to the latest version for A to 1.12. When I download the upgrade folder it will not unzip to show the upgrade files AD400111.bin and BD400111.bin. I had this problem with another older Nikon camera and someone on UHH was able to provide the update files to me which worked perfectly. So I'm wondering if someone has these two files and can provide them to me.

Just to check, I downloaded the 1.11 file and the 1.12 file.
I went to the Download folder, and double-clicked the .exe file d40v111en.exe. This created a D40Update folder, and the two .bin files were there.

Question...are there instructions specifically telling you to do this as an incremental update? Nikon firmware updates are cumulative. There is no need to install a missed update before installing the currwnt one.

Yes there are specific instructions that you have to do an incremental update. Go to the Nikon web site and see for yourself.
