I wonder how the women in Iran feel about it?

Which religion should be in control of our melting pot nation?

What about separation of church and state?

just a reminder, I'm and atheist. The trend in this nation is a growing secular populace.

Religion has no place in government, and the separation of church and state should be complete.
Unfortunately, that has been interpreted as don't tax the churches. Meanwhile, the churches get involved in politics and state matters all the time, and receive government services free of charge.
Let's make the separation complete. Any church that gets involved in politics, government, electioneering, or recommending laws be passed should immediately lose their tax-exempt status
People forget that their religion prohibits them from doing certain things.
Their religion does not prohibit me from anything.
Only laws, enacted by the government with the support of the people can do that.

An early call for separation of church and state goes something like this: "render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's."

No such thing as the separation of church and state in the constitution, it’s a myth.

Why don't you ask the folks in China where they harvest organs of young religious dissidents while they are still alive..... I suppose that you would like to see a religious test prior to government service. We already have separation of church and state here that has gone much further than what the constitution called for so what is your point Art? A religious test as I asked?

A religious test? No. I think you've gone off the deep end here. You're usually so sensible... lol

Seems to me that we already have a secular government so then what is the point of your post? BTW you went over the deep end when you asked about Iran, a subtle suggestion that the same is happening here in the US.

I have no problem with christians holding public office. Bringing their religion to public office is over the line.

BS, it’s not an expressed opinion when that term has been used, over and over again for decades and decades by Lefturds.

Well, they do represent a significant portion of the country, are you saying that their concerns should not be represented?

Seems that Feinstein thought so.... - "the conclusion one draws is that the dogma lives loudly within you" - Feinstein to Justice Barrett.
