A step down memory lane. I love Old Time Radio and have quite a number of episode. My favorite though is the Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce Sherlock Holmes series.
They were terrific. And dont forget the Sherlock Holmes films they starred in
listened to all of 'em....remember captain midnight...i drank a lot of ovaltine to get the seal and send for the decoder rings and other stuff....his stuff was free....wheaties wanted a quarter with the box top for their stuff....and the other fella was right...had to think and use your imagination.....thanks for the memories......
I loved the days of radio plays. You had to use your imagination to picture the characters in your mind. Fibber McGee & Molly, The Shadow, Amos & Andy, Inner Sanctum.... I loved them all.
You can still listen to them on sirus xm channel 148, at least here in CA its 148, dragomen, gun smoke, Fort Laramie, Doc sixgun, I was a communist for the FBI, Nero wolf, Jack Benny, Gracie Allen an George Burns, plus many more.
When I was a kid, I saw Bob Richards pole vault at an indoor track meet in Milwaukee. And I saved his Wheaties box for a while. Bob Richard's just passed away earlier this year at age 97.
Like I said there are just too many to remember and list, I enjoy the Yours Truly Johnny Dollar series, then there is superman, green hornet, X minus one, etc and the list goes on and on.

In 1956 he was the first man to win two gold medals in the pole vault. He did it was a vault of 14" 11 1/2". Then came fiberglass poles and the pole vault was completely changed.

Right, Steve. Roger Banister and Fosbury also changed events. Time marches on, but it’s different!! Mark
