I have read much of the same China hype that you have but you only know what they report and we all know China would never lie or cheat or exploit their bogus developing nation status. This chart (from the International Energy Agency) shows they will be building coal fired plants for a long time to power those EVs you speak of. As you can see as their demand has increased so has their appetite for coal and oil.

How can a chart that ends in 2020 forecast the future.

And

And we argue about the issues. Who needs this ev jobs anyway

lol are you really this ignorant? How do you think scientist “predict” climate change years and even decades ahead of time? They use data from history.

Ya those mandates are fascists.

Mandates can't be fascists. Man dates maybe.

But what difference would that make to a liar?

It’s a 20 year trend line. Do you think it’s going to change overnight? And the story after the one you linked says China’s economy has contracted four straight quarters and in 2022 Tesla already built mor than the 1.3m forecasted by itself.

The answer is “trend-line analysis” — a methodology of Predictive Statistical Analysis and Modeling.

In simpler terms: Following an established pattern and projecting into the future - until further data is available.

The further out into the future the less reliable the ‘prediction’, but the estimation differential may calculated reliably.

I wonder why the Ice Age went away, did the dinosaurs farting cause it?

I'm sure that's the cause.

John Kerry's recent statements about not being able to stop our runaway climate change without curtailing food growth are truly troubling. I think he'd just stepped off of his private jet when he made them. If there's only enough grain harvested to make one loaf of bread, I bet John Kerry gets a slice or two.

Additionally, there will be no prohibition against potatoes. Johnny’s breadwinner has to sell that ketchup!

And you'll need even more ketchup to drown out the taste of those cockroach burgers. Of course, they'll need to find a strain of tomatoes that grow without fertilizer.

That's the main issue with the radical leftist leaders and their insistence that "climate change" (does it ever stay the same?) is the number one crisis in the world. They're willing to tell people what to do without calculating the consequences, and they're not willing to live in the same world they're dictating with their edicts.

We keep hearing that C02 is the culprit behind this summers heat waves, but no one is talking about this NASA provided data, showing the Tonga Volcanic eruption and the amount of water it blasted into the stratosphere which was enough to effect global temperatures. Water vapor traps heat, and this eruption sent approximately 10% more water vapor then normal into the earths atmosphere.

Not to mention El Niño affects on warming.
