Edit: weird, I don’t know what Alamy is and certainly didn’t pay for the info. Oh well it does look like a good match.

Now that is one weird plant Linda, did you shoot it somewhere around home. I sure hope someone knows what it is.

You stumbled onto a stock photo site.

As for cheating, whatever works, eh?

Thanks so much. Now I'm thinking these were the flowers (photo taken a couple of weeks ago. Sometimes I don't pay as much attention as I should )

Bruce ID'd, I think. Yes, it - and the subsequent blossom photo I just posted - are in a messy little garden at the apartment complex where I'm currently living.

You bet!
As for your subject, I imagine there’s pretty endless lighting possibilities for some pretty neat shots!

We here know it as "Love in the Mist", kinda like a small Batchelor Button. This is the pod after the bloom falls off. The pod will dry and you can plant the seeds (they are green at first and turn black)

Not endless because they're in shadow in the afternoon and evening. Happily, my favorite time to shoot is early morning, and if I can, to use backlighting or side lighting.

Best to you, Bruce!

The thistle is quietly dancing ... simplicity and complication combined.

The photo of flowers would make a great wall paper for the holding room in an insane asylum... If not insane, they soon would be setting staring at the flowers... they would soon be having a conversation with the wall paper.... WOW, so calming [NOT].

The flowers is one of those photos that one likes but with long viewing may well not like... it is so colorful but so very busy ... From a photographer/artist view it is a great canvas... Kudos Linda. Multi

Nice photo, Linda, but I have never seen anything like that here in the Midwest.

Looks like something out of “ The Little Shop of Horrors”.
