Another great set of images. I love the stonework as seen through your eyes. My favorite is the one of "Plas Newydd" in Llangollen" seen from the inside looking out through the stained glass windows at the topiary garden beyond. Excellent!!

I appreciate your and all the nice comments about what I'd seen in north Wales which is an under appreciated travel destination, for Americans anyway. Plas Newydd at Llangollen is one of the very singularly most beautiful places I've seen. The intricate wood carvings all over the interior and the beautiful and colorful gardens all around it are just stunning and actually amazing. Here, you can take a look at that beautiful topiary garden without the stained glass but even still I agree that through the glass it has that certain something!

Having met, and chatted with a couple from Wales whose accent was very(!) thick... prompted me to ask the question. Did/do you have much trouble understanding the natives while there? We were having breakfast in West Yellowstone at the time. And other places you traveled as well?

No trouble understanding them. But, it may be that the accents are stronger in south Wales where I'd never been. North Wales and south Wales, I'm told are quite different in some ways. The accents in Scotland and Ireland where I've traveled extensively can be stronger and takes getting used to in some places for sure.

Superlative shooting 🏆💎🏆💎🏆 I had never seen a blue flower like that one, but I have seen white and pink. It is really a show-stopper All the other shots made me want to be there, exploring 🔟🔟🔟🔟🔟

I just spent a bit of time to identify that blue flower. Apparently, it's a "Himalayan Blue Poppy"

The two Scottish engineers (from Dundee) I worked with for 2 years had quite an accent, also! One didn't even try. And then there is the difference in words used for familiar objects; i.e. torch for flashlight, bonnet for car hood, etc. I had at least one great-great-great grandmother from Scotland. Her husband was from Ireland.

My grandparents on my father's side were both born in Wales in the Swansea area and emigrated to the US at the turn of the 20th century. Several of my aunts and uncles learned to speak Welsh. To me their English was fine and their Welsh was unintelligible to me. I'm sure if a native of Wales heard them they would say they spoke with an accent. So I guess what I'm saying is the accent is in the ear of the beholder.
