I love sauerkraut I make my own in a 5 gal bucket about every year its very healthy, on sausage or hotdogs, or baked in a casserole dish with hot dogs and potato. even in choc cake, or eat a dish for a snack. Your picture is making me hungry, its very well done. thank you

Well, I am not partial to "fresh" sauerkraut. But after it is cooked at least once and with a bit of brown sugar aided, I like it. So, often on New Year's Day, I will pour a can of sauerkraut over a pork rroast of some kind, add a heaping tablespoon of brown sugar, and bake it until done. Then mashed potatoes with the skins on them, something I learned a few decades ago, and corn or beans are served on the side. I should take some photos, but they will most l iekly not turn as a brilliantly as these. --Richard
