Hopefully, the monsoon will begin to stir the atmosphere and break down the heat dome over southern Arizona.
At sunset i was setting up for some possible lightning shots. The sky was pink as I set up looking north. the Strike Finder went off and captured this.
Great shot. Hopefully the Monsoons will begin and help reduce the heat

Great shot! Hoping for the monsoon-soon!
Beautiful capture. We got a lot of lightning and little rain in Green Valley Thursday and less lightning and almost no rain tonight. I'm still afraid of fire in the Santa Rita's

Nice capture. High heat is no fun. I don't miss it from my 3 decades living in the Inland Empire 909 area of Southern California up to May 2020.
I got a dust storm the other night. Last night the wind came up for about 5 minutes about 10 PM. The trouble is with the monsoons is that yes, the temp drops a few degrees, but the humidity goes way up. I cool with a swamp, so then I get NO cooling!
You guys could use some cooling off. Just hope it does not knock out the power grid!
