Great work on shooting those youngsters. The area you live in has more deer than any other area I'm familiar with.
I was on a solo motorcycle trip and left Front Royal at daybreak, heading south on the Skyline Drive. Before I got to where the Blue Ridge Parkway takes over, I saw at least 100 hundred deer ON THE ROAD. At one point, I came up to a gaggle of them ( at least 15 ) in the middle of the road and they would not move. I had to pick my way through them on my bike and they never flinched. Unbelievable. I was actually a little concerned that one might be aggressive and charge me on my bike. The whole episode is one I'll never forget.

Here are some captures I got of Mamma deer and her two young ones. They were in part of a field behind the houses across the street from us.
I was able to stand in the driveway of the house across from us about 15 feet from the fawns to take their photos.
They were hanging around the end of the driveway between a carport and fence.
The ones I got of Mamma were taken from our front porch a little further away.
I hope you enjoy the captures of these cute little ones and their Mamma
