I was mesmerized by what I was getting using a Hydrogen Alfa 7nm filter in front of my 4/3rds Monochrome sensor.
So thought I'd share this with you Black & White aficionados as well.
The
HA7nm filter brings out the Nebulosity of the nebula, Other filters enhance other aspects, like
Oxygen 3 (OIII) or an
SII They all do a part to reduce the effects of light pollution. But I find the HA7nm does what I like best by bringing out the essence of the object I'm imaging.
