Several different backgrounds, patterns, and textures and some brush work and couple overlays. Delighted you enjoyed it

Thanks! Is the character a street performer, then?

One of the cruise ship people who greet the passengers as they get off the ship. They’ll take your picture with them as part of the picture package they want to sell you. We caught saw him away from the gangway and he let me take his picture

Linda asked: "Love the textures, colors and effect. What is source?"

Linda likes the color and odd transparent texture effect, I do too.

From my old days as a struggling artist making ends meet as a full time scientist, I would suggest that a photo could be textured with transparent colored tissue paper [400 sheets many colors $7 Amazon] wetted with diluted water based glue. Ask Mr Google how to "Decoupage with tissue paper." If the base photo is with ink-jet then a coating may be or will be necessary. Mod-Podge Spray Acrylic Sealer?

"Clear acrylic sealer is available at craft and hardware stores. Select a spray sealer or varnish to apply thin, even layers of varnish over the print. Since inkjet paper is very absorbent, a spray produces a thin layer to coat the surface."

Thank You Don, I'm not familiar with the technique, but will be after my google visit. I'm not a long term photographer, as many on the forum, didn't own a film camera and purchased my first DSLR in late 2009. Thanks Again !!

This is very interesting to learn, Dave. Do you have an artist's background in something other than photography?

The only art class I've ever taken was in 7th grade and that was Art History. I purchased the first DSLR after an Alaska cruise in 2009, and realized I needed more of a camera that my pocket Fuji. I've often told people that left to my own devices, I couldn't draw a credible stick man. I have children who are artistic, but that's the closest I come to any art background, lol. Thank You for asking !!
