I have a Lenovo android tablet and a hub which plugs into the charging port. The hub has various slots for cards and thumb drives etc.
The tablet recognizes when something is plugged into it. However I can't find a way to save something to it IE a pic to a thumb drive. I can save it to the tablet but as we all know that has limited space. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. I hope I explained my situation clearly.
The hub sounds like a device to download from various sources to the tablet, not from the tablet. You may need a cable that fits into your charge port with a female usb on the other end.
I googled “how to transfer files from a lenovo tablet to a flash drive” and got many choices of information. One was a video showing visually how to do so.

The hub has numerous female ports. USB, HDMI, sd, and micro SD.
For the time being that's almost what I do sort of. If I
I see something on the tablet I just wait till I have the lap top out. It would be more convenient to use the tablet. Maybe there's a app I can download.
Thanks I'll look into that.

You can do it but Android is very clunky and far from intuitive. Cut Copy and Paste still apply it's slow and while it's doing that you can't do something else. Oh, you just may have an incompatible file format on the usb drive too, Fat32, Fat16, NTFS you know.
Thanks for the info. It's a work in progress right now.
