A good example of car restoration at its best. Great color!

I have always been partial to Mopars. I had a 65 Dart, a 71 Plymouth and a 74 Plymouth 2Dr. with a huge motor. I think it was a Super Bee. Fast as the wind.
Fast only on straight away! 😎. Mopars in that vintage were pure drag strip cars. Around a track? 😩. My first car was a 69 RR in puke green with 383 cubes, 6 pack, 4 speed and Hurst shifter (with the idiotic S bend that made power shifting an adventure) . If the weather man even predicted a hint of rain, car stayed in garage. But Lord, I loved that car. The burnt orange color you show is gorgeous. Only color worse than my puke green was the next year’s purple.

My '74 leaked like a sieve. Also did not drive in the rain.
Great set of a beautiful car, Kim, I love the paint job.

See my post a couple above yours. My 69 began to slide around if there was rain in the forecast! If it actually rained, it was parked. But on a straight 1/4, mine ate similarly outfitted Chevelles and Fords, although some Boss Mustangs gave me a fits.

The paint job on this was outstanding.
That is a beautiful example of a Roadrunner! Nice shots, Kim!

My first new car was a 1968 Roadrunner which we ordered in October 1968. It was a base 383, 4spd, 3.55 posi rear, bench seat, with rubber "carpeting". No frills, but great performance - 14.6, 98 mph in the quarter mile and still managed 14 mpg! Wish I had that car today. The one you photographed is a real beauty, was that a stock color for the year?
These great shots of a beautiful car bring back memories. Had I chosen to re-enlist in the Air Force in 1968 I was going to use my re-up bonus to pay cash for a 69 RR and have it waiting for me when I returned to the US. Unfortunately I decided not to re-up so no RR. For some silly reason I thought computers were the wave of the future and the Air Force wouldn't send me to Computer school so I decided to go to work for a computer company instead.
