What was the NRA's act in this shooting? I am out of free access to the EPOCH Times.

Hey old man, here's your chance to show us how smart you are. Without restricting access to firearms, how would you reduce and possibly eliminate mass shootings and murders?
I'm serious. I'm looking for a solution and who better to come up with one than you?
BTW - Putting people in jail won't work because many mass shooters have never been arrested.
But why waste your time? I'm listening. What should we do?

Plenty of countries in the world (most of them) which restrict access to firearms in one way or another, which have as high or higher quality of life than the US. What's wrong with some prudent restrictions on firearms, and licensing?

You are peeing into the wind, America's mindset about guns is beyond repair.
They kiss their guns good nite before they kiss the wife and kids.
Their favourite response to restrictions and licensing is it only works
for honest and law-abiding citizens.

I agree with you but unfortunately, the right-wing, "Christian", gun lovers don't. They believe any restriction on gun ownership is unconstitutional, even though I interpret the 2nd amendment quite differently.
I'm just giving them a chance to come up with a solution. Any solution.
Here in the good old USA, we celebrated our independence by killing 20 people and injuring 126 others by gunfire in mass shootings alone. That doesn't count the 13,900 people shot and killed in other than a mass shooting this year.
We have a problem and part of the problem is the people that are the problem refuse to acknowledge the problem.

With a drug riddled, overly prescribed, every sub group made to feel aggrieved and liberal D.A.’s who fail to prosecute criminals for laws already on the books coupled to access (legal or illegal) to over 400 million guns, I would give you universal background checks but absent an untenable, impossible confiscatory policy what would you suggest that would be a solution that is more than a political talking point that would be effective? Seriously Frank how you going to fix it? Tell us how your solution works?

One thing that might stop a portion of these crimes is to prevent gun and ammo sales via any form of credit card. Many of these young mass shooters that are purchasing guns "legally", don't have the incomes to support their arsenals. You have to assume they're running up some form of credit to stockpile these weapons.

You may be right about the credit card thing, but that still leaves a lot of ways to get it.
How about we require a permit to buy a weapon and a permit to buy ammunition?

We, in California, have a background check with a 10 day wait and a background for ammo purchases. When you say permit do you mean like a CCW permit because that process would totally overwhelm government entities (which may be your desired outcome).

When will you learn that laws, requirements, and licenses will not stop those with with murderous intent. There is always a van full of fertilizer, a pressure cooker, a vehicle,or a Jet plane to use if we take every firearm away.

I agree with you in part, but it's easy for any 18-year old to buy a hi capacity semi-auto gun. It takes a much smarter 18-year-old to build a bomb.
It seems quite of the few of the latest shooters have been young, depressed kids that are looking to make a big, bold statement as they commit suicide by cop. It's hard to catch them since their first offense is their only offense. We could start holding parents as accessories and imprisoning them. That might make some of these idiot parents pay attention. They're certainly civilly liable if the shooters are living at home.
