Last week I drove up Little Cottonwood Canyon to check on the status of the snow melt. The Albion Basin at Alta is the site of the annual wildflower festival this week. I found that the snow will not be melted in that basin anytime soon.
This set shows the melt runoff and views going up and coming down.

The water is really rushing here, as well. Lots of snow still on the mountain tops, will be melting for some time.
