This is a pasque flower captured on medium format transparency film nearly 30 years ago, using a 120 film holder attached to a 4x5 camera. Taken in the Loess Hills of western Iowa.

Thanks NMGal. Pasque flowers are pretty short and fuzzy, and very hard to find in these parts. I've seen them only in open grassy areas.
