Wet today. Not much visible at South Coast Botanic Garden, Palos Verdes Peninsula, Los Angeles County.

4-mm long leaf-hopper, snoozing within a pink rose.

Hand-held Nikon D5000 at ISO 400, with Nikkor 105G macro lens, 1/200-sec at f/22, overcast sky & Nikon SB-600 speedlight with O-Flash 3/4-circle Fresnel prism attachment.

Even at f/22, bug exceeds narrow DoF at MFD. Notice wing tops out-of-focus.

What a cute little guy and the green contrast to the pink flower makes him that much more vibrant. Very nice.
