I would have preferred a smoother background of say a beige colour - What do you think? By the by the way I have discovered the name of previous owner of the camera (D500 ) appears on the data - how do I get rid of that without editing each individual shot?

I agree with you. I don't know your camera for your question. But there is a way to do that. I know how to do it on my cameras (Pentax & Fuji).

Beautiful shot! You can change the background in post processing.

Thanks Mike I only have windows 10 editor not sure How I would do that - not at all very good at PP🥴

Yes, I understood what camera you had immediately, but I do not know its menus to help you. I am surprised a Nikon D500 did not explain it too you. Call Nikon on the phone and/or look in the owners manual. If you don't have a paper one you can get it on line from the Nikon Web site.

Actually I can think of a way to fix your wild background but yes it involves using PP programs. Easiest would be to select the background area around the bird and desaturate the colors a bit and add gaussian blur. I know, you don't know what that means.

Go to your start-up menus and change the name in Copyright info.
