A warning on trying to get support for the Smart Photo Editor

I purchased the Smart Photo Editor and received a legal token code. I have been having problems getting the SPE to activate and have sent several email to Support requesting help--with no human response. Based on my experience, I would be not encourage any UHH to purchase the program.

That's why it's called "Smart." It's designed for people who are so smart that they will never need help with it. Humans are getting harder and harder to find on the phone.

jerryc41, Excellent response. MIT tech grads should have no problems with SPE. Guess I am spoiled because I have had not problem in help from Breeze Browser Pro. Best to you and yours.

I seldom try online support because it generally doesn't exist. A Chat will have me chatting with a robot. The alternative is to go on a forum for that program, where people play the guessing game.

What's really awful is the fact that people need help using the software. Imagine if you had to keep calling Toyota and asking how to use your car. "Intuitive" shouldn't be a nice feature; it should be a basic requirement.

Calling about a car is not so far fetched. We went from a 2006 Mazda 6i 5DR to a 2020 Subaru Forester Limited. We were very confused for weeks and had to look at the manual or call the dealer several times. But I agree web robots are no fun and good human support is hard to come by yet companies should not expect everyone to figure out how to use all hardware and software on their own.

I've had similar issues with some software with 2 notable exceptions - both Adobe and Canon provide excellent technical support.

yssirk123, You are correct. I would add Breeze Browser Pro to that list...as least by email. I would just list the $30 with Smart Photo Editor as a "negative learning experience"--not to be repeated. I'll let you know if their techs resolve my problems.

I've gotten good customer support from both Adobe and Apple. I prefer phone support to text support.

I wish I could agree with the report of good support from Adobe and Canon.

I had to go to a user's forum to learn how to use a Canon R6 with a manual lens.

I have not been able to get an Adobe support technician to understand that only very old versions of Bridge will maintain a record of the original RAW filename. I've not been able to resolve that issue at all.

JohnSwanda, My strong advice is don't expect tech help from Smart Photo Editor. You are right about preferring phone support over text for a form group and two hours of not being able to find a solution.
