Nice capture, especially with your cellphone. Well done!
I have a couple of suggestions for your consideration.
1) The owl, which is the subject, is dark compared to the rest of the scene. This de-emphasizes the subject. Looking at just luminosity, the owl doesn't appear to match the luminance of the rest of the image. Selecting the owl and increasing its midtones to match the owl's luminosity to the rest of the image creates a more balanced exposure. The image luminance is shown in row 1 and the resulting image is shown in row 2.
2) Removing the branch that is going across the owl's chest would better highlight the owl.
Great capture. How far away were you when you took it? What phone and lens did you use? A real winner.

Thank you for the input. Those are great suggestions. I posted straight from the camera roll on my phone.

iPhone 12 Pro Max maybe 20 ft give or take. This owl stayed with us along the trail. The zoom on the phone was maxed, it came out a lot clearer than expected.
Thanks for the info. Great job.
