Have used CC for years paying $10 per month.
My usage has decreased so I thinking of just buying a system.
Question...Is ON1 a good stand alone product?
I use it and like it very much. Does everything I need and much more.
I've used it, and I like it, but I've been using Luminar Neo exclusively for a while now.

I’ve been relatively satisfied with ON1 Photo Raw, having upgraded every year since first buying in 2018. Editing is pretty straight forward but not necessarily intuitive. Customer support is responsive but if your issue is application based, you may have to wait for the next update to see a solution. There are a lot of training and general “how to” videos available. They are generally pretty good but often don’t give you the why the presenter is choosing to do what he does. They are in my opinion more demonstrative than instructive. When each addition is introduced, it is often followed by a follow up soon after due to bugs and/or user complaints. I sometimes feel I’m a beta tester. There are usually two more updates each year for purchasers of the current revision. If you consider buying, and there’s no current sale going, find a Morganti YouTube video or similar. There will usually be a discount coupon available. Sometimes, they will even stack with any ON1 PR promotions. Not as often as earlier times, tho. ON1 “loves” computer resources. I can only speak for PCs, not Macs, but I’ve found that before buying or even upgrading, I recommend you check the system requirements that ON1 posts on their website. And don’t think that you’ll be happy just meeting “minimum” requirements. Error heavily on the side of “recommended.” ON1 PR loves resources! I remember the mid year update for version 2018.5, it actually required that update my GPU to run the application. Lastly, ON1 also offers a “Plus” membership for $40-$60 a year that offers more training opportunities and videos. Before you buy, there is a full featured trial version available. It’s actually the same program without a buyer log-in. Good luck!

You've used CC that includes Photoshop, a few versions of Lightroom, Bridge and a Portfolio web display space.
Which are you trying to replace? Which parts do you use and not use?

I use bridge, camera raw and photoshop. never LR
It is a good product with some features Photoshop doesnt have and others Photoshop has but On1 doesn’t. It works either in a browse mode like Camera Raw and/or a catalog (database) mode like Lightroom. The raw processing is good with most of the features of Camera Raw. It’s worth a try and has a trial.
I teach Lightroom and Photoshop but On1 is my prime software.

If you mainly use Photoshop, I'd recommend Affinity photo. It's almost as feature packed as PS, but costs $50 one payment... Often on dale fir $25.
Also consider free alternatives like GIMP, maybe together with Darktable.

I like it a lot. Reasonable price, I think it was $79.00 when i bought (2022). I find Import and Export awkward process. Editing is great, full featured. They are very prompt with updates for new camera and RAW file types, including compressed RAW (Fuji, Nikon).

I've used it for years and think it's a great app. Also, you can not beat the price in my estimation.

I believe ON1 Photo RAW is a very good choice. I switched a number of years ago and never looked back. I find it to be more than able to replace Lightroom and Photoshop.

Adobe has made Bridge a free app for anyone with an account, even one where there is no longer subscription payments. So, any file organization you have can continue.
There is a version of camera raw built into to Photoshop Elements. Other than that, you should consider picking a couple of the apps mentioned here and pick one you like.
Remember that the CC contract may be paid monthly, but is an annual contract. Check you subscription date for timing a replacement.
I currently use ON1 2023.5, Topaz Photo AI, and Adobe. I find ON1 a bit harder to use, so it gets the least use of the three. However, I am often happy with the results I get from ON1 and therefore still upgrade it regularly.
I have On1 raw 2022 and use it occasionally. I run a Dell Studio XPS that is going on 13 years that I have updated several times. Recently I tried the On1 2023 and was not able to run it as it said I needed the Vulkan driver, which cannot be loaded into my computer because it has an AMD graphics card and it needs an NVIDIA card.
Download the trial software of 2023 and see how you like it.
