There's a plan in the works to have I95 open in Philly in two weeks. The idea is to fill in the collapsed area with 2000 tons of lightweight glass beads then build a temporary road on top of that. They they'll work on fixing the collapsed sections and the exit ramp that went under the highway.
My wife's reaction was: I don't want to be the first one to drive on that!
Your wife is a smart lady!

It is a shame that our country’s infrastructure crumbles like a chocolate chip cookie. Wait! Didn’t Presidents FDR and Eisenhower attempt to improve of highways and byways. Sadly, we don’t take care of anything.
I don't think this one can be blamed on infrastructure, burning 8000 gallons of gasoline basically melted the bridge.

A properly made chocolate chip cookie will not crumble. (Of course a properly made chocolate chip cookie will fulfill its destiny long before it gets stale enough to crumble).

It certainly wouldn't last long enough to crumble in my house!

Only parts will be "ready" in two weeks.
It'll be a while til it;s "done".
It is unfortunate that our infrastructure is in disrepair. What we really need is a little redundancy in our roadways. Perhaps, when one section is in need of repair, another area of roadway may serve and help out. But I am not sure if this thought is a wise course.
