This post is very specific; I want to hear from you if you have hands on experience with the Nikon FTZ adapter and any of the following Nikkor AF lens ONLY...18-200 DX VR, 24-70 f/2.8 non VR iteration, and 70-200 f/2.8 current iteration....I want to know how the auto focus has performed...I have read comments that not all Nikkor AF lenses function when coupled with the FTZ. Hands on experience only, please.
Works great with my many F lenses on my Z7 II .
Thanks but my post is very specific about which Nikkor lenses I have to possibly use when coupled with the FTZ.

I know you only want to hear from users if they have your exact lenses, but that may limit how much info you receive back. I do not have any of the lenses you list, but I can tell you that all of my Nikon lenses, my Sigma Art lens, and Tamron work as well, if not better on my Z camera as they did on my D800.

works fine with my 70/200 on a z9 but not a crisp as a z lens but still ok
Also works fine with my Z6 & Z8 using the F mount Nikon 70-200mm 2.8.
You've been on the UHH since 2019. You should know that you can only control what you post, not what you might receive as a result of your post. Even if you are a control freak!! In my experience the FTZ is...oh, wait a minute, I don't have a "Z". But if I did...oh, wait a minute...I don't!

Its now two days since you first asked and you do have two *specific* positive replies. Why not just get a used FTZ and use it a while. You might lose ~$25 if you dont keep it but at least youll know for sure. Thaz gotta be worth ~$25. (As a user of the FTZ I suspect youll keep it.)

I have all of your lenses and both FTZ 1 and 2. Used them on Z9,Z7 and Z7II for a limited time because I bought the Z lenses. From my experience, I saw no difference in use between the lenses on the Z cameras and the F mount cameras.
I bought the Z series lenses for several reasons however:
1. They were specifically designed for the mirrorless cameras for better image quality
2. I did not want to add additional adapter space to the length of my lenses. They are long enough already.
I did not sell my F lenses because I still have a D850, however, I am now considering doing so after using my Z9 extensively. While I love my D850, it is a different experience than the Z9.
I agree with the suggestion in the previous post. Why not pick up a used FTZ to see how it works for you? Not a huge risk.
I think Robertl594 and User ID recommendations are correct but I think the OP doesn't have a Z body so to try them out he has to buy both the FTZ and a Z body not just the FTZ.

Having the Z body would be very helpful! Lol

The 70-200 f/2.8 works well with my Z8 and both FTZ 1st gen & FTZ 2nd generation.
Works with my Z9 and 24-70 70-200...
