I am trying to put together a setup to do portraits/headshots in my family room. I ordered the last pieces of equipment this morning, the 20” x 28” softbox and another TT520II speedlight for the Hair/Rim light. Attached is a test photo I did without the Hair/Rim light. the model is my lovely wife. I also attached a drawing of the setup. Am I missing anything?
I am no expert, but it looks fine to me.
Thank you for your reply.

Wow, you have a lot of nice lighting equipment. I don't have space for such a set up. I really wish I had and could use a softbox. I often shoot flowers and seashells in doors. Now I have a crazy crude mixed lighting situation of ceiling LEDs, a table top LEDs, and some window Daylight. It works but with little control or variety.

I am trying to do this on a budget, the four speedlights cost me $160.00 for all four. The two softboxes cost me $59.00 for both. I am trying to kept the cost as low as possible and still get good results. Have you tried off camera flash outdoors?
Well done!
You have nailed it, in my opinion.

Which speedlights and softboxes?
Ooops. Looks like you put the info in the drawing.

Three of the speedlights are Godox TT520II’s that come with a built-in radio receiver and a transmitter for on the camera. The first two I bought before the pandemic and pair $40.00 dollars each off Amazon. The third one I bough this morning and paid $50.00 for it. The fourth one is a Neewer TT560 with only an optical trigger, paid $30.00 for it. Both softboxes are Godox, the main light 24” x 36” ($31.00), the other one the Hair/Rim light 20” x 28” ($28.00).

I actually have a couple
Flashpoint Shoe Mountable Strobes (similar to your
Godox units) but I never really learned to use them. I had hoped to have one of my photo instructors show me how to use them well, but he moved to another state and I have moved to another county in California far from all my photography pals. I have never tried using flash as key or fill light outdoors other than a couple times for a class assignment. My bad. I shoot with available light or artificial constant light. As I noted, I use LEDs currently, and CFL and Incandescent bulbs in the past. To use Flash I really need one or two Softboxes for my strobes. I find direct flash too harsh for my tastes. And not just for people or pet portraits but for my numerous flowers and seashells photographs. What softbox might you suggest for my strobes I probably need a couple light stands too. I can not really spend a lot on my photo hobby. A small boxed lighting kit, Flash & Constant, Softbox(s), Light Stands might do the trick.
I have a lot of old lighting ('70s-'80s) equipment that I don't use: 3
Hervic Quartz-Halogen Lamps, 4
PIC Light Stands, 3 white Umbrellas, an old school hard wired
Speedotron D604 Electronic Flash Power Supply, and 2 Different Flash Heads. Also still sometimes used Pentax AF 160SA and AF 200T Electronic Flash units, small and simple.
I am mostly into shooting Landscapes, and Close-Ups and Macros of Flowers and Seashells. I used to shoot a lot of film of my Girlfriend/Wife over the last 46 years, but other than that I don't really enjoy shooting portraits, but I can do it when need be.
See below a studio group portrait a did in a class. Also see a some of my close-ups. And finally a 40+ year old Plus-X Film series of my Wife scanned and reprocessed with Photoshop to create some weirdness. I think she does not like it.

Very nice portraits, flowers, and people. Looks like you have plenty of lights and modifiers.

I would say it looks great, but definitely needs the hair light. A more directed light, placed high, could be used as just a hair light, in case you want that without rim lighting.
Main light is fine. Try moving your two reflectors in and out to experiment with different amounts of contrast.
The lighting looks perfect to me!
