Thank you Jack. I have not used black and white conversions on most of my bird photos, but this looked good and I think it is because of the way your background came out, so thanks again.

While I like the b&w a lot, the unexpected composition (crop) of #3 is the winner for me. Fascinating, engaging!

I sometimes think of Egrets as the great consolation prize of all birding trips. They are always out there and I will always give them some time. I have an archive full of shots of these graceful creatures. Going back into my files and finding subjects for this type of processing play has given me a great deal of pleasure this past year or so. It has been a good reminder of why we keep photos. I very much appreciate your visits and kind commets Chief, thank you.
