It should. BT (bacillus thuringensis) comes in a couple different strains but most of them work on the larvae of Lepidoptera.

They hide well on a tomato bush. You can find them by looking for leaves that have been eaten or by the frass they leave.

Planting some fragrant Basil in your tomato garden, the smell will cover up the tomato fragrance and the Spotted Moth will just fly by without laying eggs. I like Thai basil as it is very aromatic.
