Final Cut Pro recommended tutorials?

I recently purchased Final Cut Pro and am looking for some good tutorials to get me started. I am a member of Kelby One and, while they do have some tutorials, they are very outdated and, when I tried to follow along I found these tutorials nearly useless for today's FCP (these tutorials were 15 years old).

I'm interested in finding good, well organized "current" FCP tutorials, free or paid.

Did you check Apple? https://www.apple.com/final-cut-pro/resources/

Forgive me if none of my business, but why did you pick FCP over DaVinci Resolve or other choices.

No specific reason other than I like Apple products on my iMac in general and I have a friend with FCP who really likes it. I know that both programs are very capable with pros and cons, but I just decided to go with what I felt I'd be comfortable with starting out. I did not do a scientific study to determine all the pros and cons of every video editing programs out there since I'm just getting started and felt it best (for me) to start with what I felt I'd be comfortable with.

PS: Thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

Thanks for your answer. I like it. I'm teaching video editing in the retirement community where I live. My 'students' are using using several different programs. The output quality is the same. It is the workflow that changes. Once someone learns a video editing program, it will remain "the best" for a very long time!

Thanks - I know I can search YouTube - and have. I'm kind of wanting to see if any UHHers have specific recommendations based on their experience.

RIPPLE and iJustine have decent training programs for FCP. I found those in the Apple App Store. I've used both in the past.

You can find many others, too, if you go on YouTube.

FCP is probably the most efficient of the advanced editors available for the Mac. It is easy to learn, quick to use, and very straightforward in structure. Adobe Premiere Pro is more widely used. DaVinci Resolve has better color grading tools. and Avid Media Composer is the high end choice used in many Hollywood edit suites and network edit bays.

Current version of FCP is 10.6.6, released this month. https://youtu.be/MS5Qecq2j3U links to the Ripple "What's new in Final Cut Pro 10.6.6?" on YouTube.
