In case you don't know about this, the USPS offers a Daily Digest for free. They scan your mail and email images of what you'll receive that day - mail and packages - but usually not junk mail. Depending on the
Digest, I know whether or not to walk to the mailbox.
Citibank sends me at least six pieces of mail a week, always with a "Special Offer." They must have a huge bill for that department.

That is interesting, I get enough junk e-mail, will not sign up for another one. I will take the surprise and wait each day for my junk mail. Thank you for this information, however.

It's a great program... We've been using it since it came out - it helps when you're on vacation and something important comes in. Even with "hold mail" - they scan the letters and you see what it is. I got a federal jury duty notification and a county jury duty notification while on a road trip - a quick phone call to the court house and all was good vs a headache of legal issues for not showing up...

https://www.usps.com/manage/informed-delivery.htmThanks for the info. We travel perhaps 3-4 months out of every year and although we have someone to care for the property (and the kitty) while we’re away, this will help us immensely.

This is not junk email when there is an important piece, something financial or similar, and it doesn't show up. Without this email you would never know important mail is missing. Sometimes it shows up a day or two later, sometimes never. You can initiate a lost mail procedure. And you can know who to contact. And all before they show up with handcuffs because you didn't go to your jury duty or before your retirement account is wiped out by an identity thief who stole your statement.

https://www.usps.com/manage/informed-delivery.htmI get a great many pieces of junk mail. Usps does an admirable job of getting these out. However, they seem to have lost two bank bill pay checks sent out. Results in past due situations. I am not sure if the Daily Digest would help.

https://www.usps.com/manage/informed-delivery.htmThanks for the information. I'd love to have that feature. Just tried and it's not available in the small town we live nearby. Hopefully someday soon.
