I am mostly self taught in Lightroom and I need to up my game.
I'm thinking about Laura Shoe's Lightroom courses but she is out on sabbatical until who knows when.
Her website states this:
"I will be on sabbatical starting September 1, 2021. I won’t be updating this series while I’m out, but you’ll still find it VERY HIGHLY relevant, and the series comes with a 60-day 100% satisfaction guarantee. I did add a 35 minute tutorial on the new Lightroom Classic 11 Masking feature!"

Lightroom is now up to version 12.3
My question is: Is her course worth it? Or should I find something else?
I notice a lot of online course are somewhat dated as well.
Your input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

With all the free utube videos, and the subscriber-only content on Adobe.com, really, there's no reason to pay for Adobe Lightroom training.

Do you have specific things you want to be able to do or is it just that you're at the point where you don't know what you don't know?

Specific questions could be answered here, but I might suggest checking out the Post processing section

That section would probably have people who have a better idea of LR courses than asking the general public.

If Laura Shoe has been out of the picture since September 2021 I would not consider her program. A lot has changed in LR/LrC since then.

Matt K is my favorite as well. His overall style works well for me. So far he has provided timely updates as programs evolve. Since they switched to the subscription model a while back Adobe has dramatically accelerated the rate of introduction of new features for both Lightroom and Photoshop. If you aren’t diligent it is easy to fall behind. Fortunately they have pretty much maintained the older interfaces so you aren’t totally left behind. Matt and The Lightroom Queen publish an immediate summary for the updates.

Thanks for all the input. I think I'll give Matt K tutorials a try.
So far I have only used the Library and Develop modules.
In the Develop Module I usually start at the top and work my way down the controls and sliders.
I think what will help me the most is to find out what I don't know about the Develop Module.
Not sure I have much use for the other modules.

I purchased and went through Laura Shoe's training videos years ago. It was the best $ 100 I've ever spent. Step-by-step and very logical. I believe it is VERY important to understand Lightroom's method of organization BEFORE getting started. Not many days pass without me working in Lr and I do refer back to Laura's videos once in a while. Best of luck.

The sliders are arranged in that order intentionally.

I was the the only respondent that mentioned The Lightroom Queen. I don’t want to describe exactly who she is but checkout her webpage, https://www.lightroomqueen.com/ I’ll let her tell you about herself. She is a most excellent resource of free information. And her flagship $25 ebook “ Adobe Lightroom Classic – The Missing FAQ” is an encyclopedic 729 page accurate deep dive into the program. It ends with my favorite Appendix “The Geeky Bits”. You might eventually want to buy it. By all means sign up for her newsletter. I doubt she shares her list.

Her blog section has an article answering nearly every request for help we find here.
