Final resting place for Karen Carpenter.
I had some time when I got into town, so I thought I would visit Karen Carpenter final resting place.

Thank you for the fond memory.
Such a beautiful voice we sadly lost way too soon.

She had a voice that was unmatched in the songs they chose to sing. I saw them live many years ago when Cubby (Mickey Mouse Club) was their drummer. She also had a drum set on stage and let loose!
I have always enjoyed their music.

She really had a voice, and her music holds up very well these days
It seems like only yesterday that she was among us
What a terrible waste
Thanks for sharing this set, Rob. She really was special.

I agree. I remember the group back in the 70s-80s. Such a waste of life and talent.
Nice gesture and shot, such a tragedy that she lived and suffered from such sadness and issues with body insecurity. Where from a distance the outsider would look on and expect that as successful as she was, she must then be so happy. And yet it only goes to prove that regardless of ones high status and peoples perceptions thereof, everyone has problems that are as real and horrible to them as any othe persons problems, even though from a distance they be judged minor - A wonderful singer and seemingly a very nice woman.
I still listen to their music as it never grows old. Nice photos but very sad.

She was my very second album. First was Bridge Over Troubled Waters.
Loved her.
She had the most beautiful and haunting voice. One of my all time favorite singers. thanks for sharing these photos.
She was very special...we have just begun

She left this world too young. May she rest in peace and may we long enjoy her (and her brother, Richard's) voice in the songs they sang.
