On a very drab, gray winter day a visit to the lake wasn't very exciting. I noticed the small patch of water with the reflection of the tree above... all the rest was ice and not much color. Still not a very exciting picture, but using PS Elements, I was able to add a bit of false 'sunshine' to the drab clouds and highlight the water a bit. I used the 'Filter/Render/LensFlare' effect and a bit of dodging.

Hi Joe. Nice work. Would you show what the original looked like. I would love to see just what you changed. I am going to jump into post a little more this winter.

This is the original. I only cropped it a bit and did a general Auto Adjust from the camera. I'm just a 'point and shoot' bug... so nothing fancy or exciting to describe. In fact, I believe I was using the Canon SD 890 10 meg on 'Auto'.

Thank you Erv. I enjoy learning what Elements can do. I've been 'learning' for a long time, but have hardly scratched the surface. At my age, I'll probably run out of years before I run out of what's new in Elements or Photoshop :) Dive in Erv.... it's rewarding.
