Great Egrets and Ibises at the Ocean City Rookery

Last Monday I spent several hours there and thoroughly enjoyed the time. The weather was wonderful and the birds were building nests, sitting on eggs, and posing for photos! Other birds will be in a second post.

Wonderful shots! I really like the Glossy Ibis in flight showing all its colors and the Great Egret with the full display of mating feathers.

Wow, wonderful set, Elliott. The downloads are beautiful. Especially loved seeing the Ibis in flight and Egret nesting, two events I’ve never seen before.
