This was actually a multi-purpose building...two room schoolhouse with an accordion door down the middle so the building could also be used as a community hall, dance hall on Saturday nights and church on Sunday. Before photo was taken and posted here in March 2022. Was in the area again a few weeks ago and decided to swing by and take a few more photos. We experienced a long, cold snowy winter and the snow load on this structure, already weakened, was too much.

So sad in the second photo. Really glad you were able to get the first photo. Have you considered converting the original to B&W?

Obviously an historic building. Is anything done in Utah to preserve these?

It's an old unused building. Are you sad when a deserted bird's nest deteriorates?

We have an old school like that locally that was converted to a meeting hall...but this place looks like it might be pretty isolated. I suppose that the cost of restoring and maintaining something like this would be prohibitive unless it has some real historic value to the whole community. You can't save them all...

Love the pictures. You have at least preserved the image.

Two nice images. A perfect example of how time marches on.

There are a few more standing structures in the area that will probably also collapse in the next few years, Barbara...they are getting long in tooth with the harsh winters!!

In Utah, a few are and those are in more populated areas. This is in a a remote Idaho valley and on private property that sees little traffic, so no real encouragement to do so.

Thank you very much Earnest. There are a few large wheat farms in the area but no one lives here in the winter...fairly remote area.
