Yesterday, a fine American exercising his, "god given right" to bear arms killed nine people whose only crime was going to a shopping mall.
If you believe that this is what the founding fathers had in mind when they wrote the second amendment, you are obviously deluded, insane, or a member of the NRA.
When do we unite and stop the insanity?
On a side note, the shooter was neutralized by a police officer who was at the mall on an unrelated call. No other, "good guys with guns" managed to do anything.

Perhaps because there were no other armed "good guys" at the scene. A gun, wielded by someone wishing to stop the carnage, ended the incident.

Isn't it odd that there is never a good guy with a gun there to stop the shooting.
In this case they got, "lucky" that a Police Officer happened to be on the scene and took action to neutrilize this miscreant or many more would have died.
The good guy with a gun is as elusive as bigfoot when you want them to show up.
In any case, with your reasoning, there were no good people in the mall at the time of the shooting. I guess that includes the dead people. Hopefully, you will someday meet a good person face to face. Provided of course, that you get out of the garage once in a while.

You don't know how many good guys with guns would have acted but the police officer was first to intervene. Nobody has any way of knowing. But your negative position is totally unsupported.

And, your imaginary good guy is supported?
Seriously?

Shopping mall? Full of shoppers? NO ONE other than the killer with a gun?

Highly unlikely. After all, it is America, isn’t it? Land of the free, home of the brave, where almost everyone is armed when they leave home.

It is virtually impossible to support a negative position. I once was badly injured in an accident. Workers comp provided for my sustenance for over a year. Since worker's compensation is a form of insurance provided by my employer at the time, that income is non-taxable. Next year when I filed my tax return the IRS wanted to know why I didn't file a return the year before. They wanted me to prove I had no income the previous year.

Frank cannot prove that no armed citizens were there or that they didn't take action because the cop shot the scumbag first. By his logic, you should not try to protect yourself because there MIGHT be a cop on the scene who would take the necessary action to protect you. I'll pass. My luck isn't that good.

The second amendment provides for my ability to protect myself and others with a firearm and until it's rescinded, I'll do so.

11 times a good guy with a gun stopped a bad guy, saving lives

Your link shows 11 times since 2007 that a good guy with a gun ended a mass shooting. We've had 199 mass shootings already this year. The odds that a good guy with a gun will save you in a mass shooting are infinitesimally small. The "good guy with a gun" conservative talking point is ridiculous.

Ya and if those 11 people weren’t there more people would have probably died. It’s a really stupid Lefturd argument to say “where was a good guy with the gun?” Yet you Lefturd imbeciles always complain that there’s too many guns, but now your complaining again. But that wasn’t Frank’s claim. He he asked why they were no good guys with a gun that stopped any shootings. I gave 11 instances where he’s white. So go shove that up the dark side. Only a complete, moron with fake. A good guy with a gun would be useless in these kind of situation. I guess you just want more people dead.

And only a fool would think that a massacre of this magnitude can occur just as easily with a knife or baseball bat (because AR-15 weapons were intelligently banned).

How and ANYONE argue that the ease and extent of this carnage has NOTHING to do with the capability of the weapon?

Could it have been done with a handgun? Perhaps... but it WASN'T.

A couple of sticks of dynamite tossed into the crowd would have sufficed, the problem is not the weapon used, it goes much deeper. There is to much bad, false, and misleading info being spread by click bait news sites and MSM it is a wonder that more of these shootings don't happen.

Rather than prove Lincoln, Franklin or Twain, as it is argued which to attribute, correct why not go to your local library and look through the monthly magazines of the NRA. Every issue has several stories of a good person with a gun triumphing over a bad person. Several per month, 17 years, lots more than 11 times. And those are just the ones they have space to include on one page, not the entirety.

But you cannot deny that among civilized democratic nations the US is an anomaly when it comes to gun ownership and gun violence. Only a dimwit can't see the connection (facepalm!)

Only a Dimwit would think an inanimate object is the problem, bullets may kill but they do it without intent or malice. By concentrating on the weapon used we overlook a much larger problem, our legislators are wasting time trying to control the weapon instead of the problem, and MSM pushing creeping woke socialism and a press that only prints bad news.
