I took this over 20 years ago in the tiny ghost town of Rescue, NE on 4x5 film. What attracted me to it was wondering how many times that latch must have been opened over the years to carve the smile in the shed door. I can remember sitting there for about a half hour waiting for a cloud to come over and shade a harsh shadow like it was yesterday.

Thanks Haenzel. Yes, the 4x5 neg can hold an amazing amount of detail. Lately I've been photographing, rather than scanning, the negatives by making panoramas of two or more images to end up with very large files.
