Isn't it strange how so many people today live above their means and do not take responsibility for themselves and their family? No life insurance, health insurance and more. And, yet they drive expensive cars, live in homes bigger and fancier than needed and have all sorts of stuff that isn't necessary.
Yet; when a tragedy happens they are quick to arrange a go-fund- me account asking others to chip in and pay the bill for them.
No way, not a nickel from me unless there are justifiable extenuating circumstances that caused their problem.
Advertising seduces us from birth to believe we can only be happy with more stuff. Our innate human greed happily concurs.

In the 50's we wore Tennis Shoes and really did not care if they had a name on them or not.
BUT.....US KEDS or Converse Allstars were cool...especiallyif you couldnt afford them like us

Even in the 60’s in my college ball team we were give two pair of “ Chuck Taylor” converse all stars . Only place the name was on it was a little bitty tag on the heel.

Now we pay high prices for athletic shoes made in developing nations by poorly paid workers, go figure.

Wake up and smell the roses. Find me a pair of shoes made in the USA. Names like Adidas and Nike are produced in developing nations mainly in the Far East.

Yes, if one picks the wrong field of study, a college education is worthless.
Plumbers and electricians are in demand and they make more money than most college graduates.
