I just recently downloaded the Adobe Photoshop Beta and have been playing around with the Remove Background feature.

I was granted access to Adobe Firefly beta today, it should be fun to play with. More important, to me at least, I discovered there is a beta version of Photoshop available. This gives a peek into Adobe's plans as they move forward. I am impressed with the Remove Background feature and there is much more to explore here.

Amazing shots Jack

So, with some refinements we won't be able to discern a real ... from an AI generated ...
This type of "progress" isn't for me. I'm going back to film (lol).

You've got a winner there, Jack. The blue in the bird and the blue in the background together looks fabulous. Enjoy your new toy!

Nice work On both. That bee is sharp with lots of detail and the Jay fits nicely into the background.

Thank you for the heads up on the Photoshop Beta version.

I have a couple questions: (1) what is Firefly? (2) What was the background that was removed from the bee pic?

Why would we picture takers do that? Isn't the challenge in our photographic life taking the best image possible and then post processing as little as possible. If we choose to do abstracts or composites I don't see a lot of difference between using AI generated images and images downloaded from the internet. Either way we are taking images we didn't produce and making them ours.

Oh I will. I think AI generated images will always be a toy for those of us who taking the picture
