Trying to sell some stuff on eBay. Total mess, people make offers that tie up the item, then don't pay. No way to go in and lower a selling price, no one to talk to. Sorry for the rant, but UHH is about the only place I get help on many things.

I stopped using eBay some years ago, too many bad actors out there as sellers and buyers.

Best place for me so far is MPB. Good luck.

...I tried selling on Ebay once. That's it. I *do* buy from Ebay, though, that function is just fine.

I have had very few eBay problems, both buying and selling.

Sorry for your issues. My company has over 16,000 products on ebay. We sell used aircraft parts. We started 5 years ago. It was just me in the beginning. We are now 17 people and are hiring 3 more. My point is if you use the eBay store system it works much better and less commission to eBay. Look us up. Safe Skies Aviation.

I never use the auction. Just set a "buy it now" price and stick to it. The buyer pays your price, and then you ship the item. I've never had a problem.

I'm not a fan of the auctions either, however I did bid on a couple of items (as there was no time constraint) and got great deals on both.

Most of my selling is done with Buy It Now. With that when you bring up your own listing you get a link to "Revise Listing."

I did OK with the bidding part but it is the selling I have trouble with. I get great bids, but there is no payment so the item is marked sold and my sold amount is shown. However, they don't pay, and the item is tied up and there is nothing you can do about it.

I am moving and trying to downsize. Looks like the dumpster or Goodwill is in the future for this stuff,

sodapop!

Why not try selling here on UHH? I've done over a dozen transactions here from books on the Nikon D3s while also buying D3 and D3s bodies. A Mamiya RB67 traded for a second D3s body as well; a 35mm slide and negative digitizing lens adapter; a lens ringlight; lenses and a couple of other cameras.

Every transaction has been smooth and problem free on both sides! You may get more $$ as there are no fees!

Be well! Ed

I've been selling old gear, books and calendars on eBay for years with only a few minor problems. But I always set a fixed buy it now price with free shipping Australia wide.

Selling on Ebay is ok but they charged so much fee that I don't like that.
I buy from Ebay often to get parts to fix the machines we have at work.
