First pic taken with my Nikon 5200 and normal exposure.
Next 2 were taken in total darkness with my Panasonic FZ18 and 15 sec. exposure, using a couple of led flashlights to expose the scene. They were my very first experience with "painting with light" and they turned out pretty good. Proof that it's not all that hard of a technique.

Nice shots, except you have to lose the "total darkness" part. They were taken in the light of an LED device. Photos are not possible in total darkness.

Simply trying to explain that the pictures were taken in a dark room with no light other than the 2 led flashlights and with a 15 second exposure. One flashlight was a wide angle led flashlight which I turned on for a few seconds to light the scene, then I used a narrow angle brighter led flashlight for highlights. I totally guessed at the length of time to turn on the flashlights.

The room was totally dark until I flicked the flashlights on and off. The hardest part was not tripping over the tripod when walking around in the dark.

I hadn’t played pool in years but I was just at a friend’s house who had a pool table. Wish I’d thought of taking these but I was too busy having a few beers and a lot of laughs…and losing a few bucks😂 Great shots!

Pool is a great sport, and unlike most, you can play late into life, and under all weather conditions which normally is is around 70° and dry. Pool was my 3rd hobby, after woodworking and computing.

Pool is a good photo shoot subject. I've pictures hanging all around the house.

Thanks CW. I like it myself. Looks really really good blown up on my 55" HD TV screen. Actually all 3 look great on the TV, but I think #2 is my favorite of the 3. The first one I have printed on a 16x20 and hanging on the wall directly over my computer screen. I guess it has enough going on that I never get tired of looking at it.
