I believe those are what we called Hudgon's geese. I think the real name is Lesser Canada Goose, look at the head it's different than a Canada goose, not as tapered and the bird itself is a tad smaller, hard to tell the difference unless you did a lot of goose hunting

I didn’t proof read, my bad on the “Canadian” mistake. Can you shed any light on sub-species question that was raised above? Locally the term ‘cackling goose’ is used for the smaller birds.
