Interesting post - Good one
Interesting! The Model T was much like the Kodak Brownie camera or Timex watch. Affordable, adequately dependable but nothing great or revolutionary. They simply took an existing idea, cut corners to make it affordable and put America on affordable wheels, gave them affordable cameras and made photography available to the masses a gave the less than average man a dependable time keeping device he could afford.
Yes, they all did very well what they were intended to do. The only thing great about the above three was their affordability to the low income masses.
Wonderful video. Especially loved seeing the Model T being driven off road.
Great look into the past. I can't imagine working under those conditions
Just think where we could be today if Henry Ford had produced cheap buses for mass transit!
Back in the 1950s we lived in a rural area of mostly dirt roads about 15 miles outside of town. However, a bus ran near our home 2-3 times a day. My mother would take my sister and me into town on the bus to shop and maybe have lunch. Then we would take the bus back home.
Try to find a bus now on a scheduled route that goes that far out of town. No way. What we do have now is millions of cars, congestion, pollution and thousands of acres of parking lots. It probably takes longer now to get into town now than it did in the 1950s, especially when taking into account the congestion and finding a parking space. More expensive too even figuring in inflation changes.

Terrific video, thanks for posting
I spent almost eight years working for public transportation in the area I lived. It's a great idea in theory but more costly than it's worth. With telework and people that can be able to live anywhere and do their job the idea of mass transit only works where there are large populations. I was required to use transit when I worked for one of the companies and the other I was strongly suggested to use it. The one where required I used to have a 3 to 4-hour transit each day or 2 hours or less if I drove. When I used the bus it was longer. One of these authorities found that if they buy and expand ride-share vans rather than buses it is more cost effective and it has over a 98% use rate. When I did have to travel to the office and people who could telework the freeways were not crowded and travel time was much less. Businesses wanted to see people in the office. So the problems could be fixed if Big businesses and government offices would go back to those who can telework. I am half in the office and half the time teleworking. Traffic is back to pre-covid and it's a mess. I imagine our fuel usage was much less during the covid-19 shut down but because so many businesses want to go back to the old standard we are where we are.
I still don't have sound, but I've seen this before. As time went on, the cars got cheaper - and he sold more. He also paid his workers a higher-than-normal salary so that they could afford to buy the cars they were building.
Tonight, I'm going to watch one being restored on Car S.O.S on Disney+.
