Janis was one of a kind in a good way. It was a sad day when I learned that she was gone.
I was working at Columbia records in New York when we heard of her passing. It was a very sad day. Clive Davis then president of the company, called a special meeting.

I believe you meant "piece of my heart".
Back in the late 60's while attending Villanove I went to the first Quaker City Rock Festival at the Spectrum.
It was a 7-1/2 hour show with 5 groups...Moby Grape, Vanilla Fudge, the Buddy Guy Blues Band, Janis Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Company and the Chambers Brothers.
I was at a concession stand getting a snack between acts when the guitar intro for Piece Of My Heart started and I was nearly trampled when everybody rushed back to their seats.
A very unique talent RIP 🙏
I had her quad 4 track and my great surround system and she walked around me singing and at the end laughing.
Thanks for posting this. Loved both Joan and Janet. It made also think of Amy.
