The Meatball at Ape Cave near Couger Washington. It was technically difficult because the cave is pitch black and I had to make three trips with my 4x5 to get it right. I even had to rig a strobe to the top of a ten foot piece of electrical conduit with a switch at the bottom to strobe the high areas. I used a lantern placed directly under the Meatball to set the focus at f/8 and shutter on bulb, then put it out and stumbled around in the dark light painting the walls and floor using my body to shield the flash from the camera. Also, I had to do this around 2AM because the cave is very popular and I did not want people walking thru the frame with their lamps.
That is a very interesting shot. You sure went to a lot of effort in getting the shot. Nicely done.

That’s what I call dedication to your craft! But the shot is worth the effort. Excellent composition and the lighting is the star.
