I was going through some old boxes. and this was in one of them.
This was over 40 years ago and thought it might be enjoyed.
The cover has a SEARS KS made by Ricoh which had the Pentax K mount. The Sears and Ricoh cameras were considered lesser than the Pentax but now Ricoh owns Pentax.
Very interesting- I love those prices.
My first real camera was an AE-1 bought used out of a pawn shop near Fort Knox Kentucky. I think I paid about 60 bucks for it in 1982 and it came with a 35 mm lens.

Cool find. I used to keep Sear Photo and Craftsman Tool Catalogs. I see the camera I should have bought back in the day, the Asahi Pentax LX. The price was not crazy then. I still have a Pentax K2 DMD SLR body. Some great Canon, Minolta, and Olympus cameras too.

That is ironic - know it. I have an old Sears M-42 Screw Mount SLR that can use my old Pentax Screw Mount lenses. I wonder, did Ricoh make those for Sears as well. It is more or less like a "simpler Pentax Spotmatic 500".
They are amazing. Here is an interesting thought. How about scanning or lithographing the pages. With a $10 frame you could sell them for $25-30 per photo. Just a random thought.
The catalogue used to have several pages of enlargers. My favorite part
I have that KS2, silver, in pristine condition. Bought it 4 years ago with a bag and 135 2.8 lens, also almost unused condition, in a leather bag, extra film, total for $25. After bringing it home, down in one of the pouches, found a like new Nikkor 55 2.8 micro. Probably one of the better deals I've made... (man liquidating his dad's estate, didn't know much about what was in the bag, just that film cameras didn't bring much, had tried to sell it for months at $50 on Craigslist and no takers).
Love the Pentax that I bought in ship's store on USS Newport News CVA-148 in 1971. Still got it. It sits on the shelf next to my Z9.
My 1970 first 35mm "professional [?]" was a Sears made by Ricoh. I had a 50mm and a 200mm lens. It served me well until the "digital age" when I bought an expensive Kodak DC4800.

I think Sears could of been the "Amazon" of today . . . but I guess they did not see it that way.
Was never a big Sears or Montgomery Ward fan.
When I went into MW some 35 years ago and found they no long sold shot gun shells I knew they were on the way out.
Makes one wonder what J.C. Higgins would have thought about all this.
Nice! Those $200+ prices are what I remember.
