Possible wolf tracks by our home

We live on the upper east slopes of the Cascades in Oregon at just below 4800 ft elevation. It is well established they have migrated SW through this area and farther south into northern California. Radio collars have proven this. Never seen one.

Today this was seen on our property. The footprint sizes are typical of an adult wolf. Holy cow. Will take the images to the local Forest Service wildlife biologist to get their impression. Exciting whatever we learn.

Wolf tracks. Claw marks. 5” long. Single lobe on pad. You got one. Be careful. Watch you livestock.

No. Well south. We are on the upper Little Deschutes down towards Chemult. Property crosses the river and has a large riparian zone and meadow. So it’s pretty darn pleasant except for mosquito season after the snowmelt.

Have them all over up here in Idaho panhandle, pain in the ass on the elk herds, last one I saw was pitch black.
