March is definitely coming in like a Lion here in scenic Apache Junction. I awoke to a cloud covered Superstition Mountain and snow was poking out in the lower elevations, so that was all I needed to get my gear ready and get an early start on the crowds that were bound to be at all the popular shooting locations.
The Elvis Chapel at the Superstition Mountain Museum always makes a wonderful foreground with Superstition Mountain in the background and when the mountain's covered with snow, well, it's a must on my list.
The sun was just making a late appearance as I drove up and nudged my truck into a snug parking spot and waited for the stragglers to get their cellphone shots and go home. Everything was cool, wet and muddy from the one inch of rain we received overnight, but I had already hit half a dozen shooting locations on my way out here. A couple of shots and I was heading back home for breakfast.
